It instantly ...This sounds so familiar to me, Rich. It instantly rang a bell. I think I might have read this while still in high school when I went through a period of reading a lot of books about or featuring what we then called, American Indians. Most of what I read was non-fiction, but occasionally I did read fiction and boy does this title resonate. The story doesn't seem familiar but the main character does, as well as the author's name and I kind of remember recommending this to my friends. So obviously, I loved it then.
